Terminal station near Bulgana

As part of the project, a new terminal station near the existing Bulgana Terminal Station is required. After working with landholders and undertaking field surveys and investigations in the area, we have now identified a proposed site for the new terminal station, which is to the north-east of the existing Bulgana Terminal Station.

Proposed route

In response to landholder and community feedback, and technical specialist advice, we have made updates at various locations along the proposed route, including changes previously confirmed at Hepburn Lagoon and to the north of Waubra.

After project changes in 2023, including the increase in capacity of the 220kV section of the transmission line to 500kV and relocation of the proposed terminal station from the north of Ballarat to Bulgana, we confirmed the option to the south of Hepburn Lagoon as the proposed route in that area, We also identified a new proposed route to the north of Waubra rather than connecting into the existing Waubra Terminal Station as previously proposed.
